About Us

Information We Collect

• Account info: email, nickname (you provide these at signup)
• Prayer journal: what you write (encrypted in transit and at rest)
• Preferences: default Bible version, reminder time, appearance preference
• AI input (only when you use "Pray with Me"): the mood and prayer target you select
• System info: iOS version, app version (for diagnosing errors)

Information We Don't Collect

• Location
• Contacts
• Browsing history
• Microphone, camera, photos (unless you actively grant access)
• Device unique identifiers (other than Apple's advertising ID)

How We Use Information

• To provide core features: guided prayer, journaling, scripture reading
• To send prayer reminders at the time you set
• To call AI models when you use "Pray with Me"
• To improve the app experience (not used for advertising, never sold to third parties)

Your prayer journal is visible only to you, protected by database row-level security.

Third-Party Services

To make the app work, we use the following categories of service providers to process data:

• Cloud database: stores your account, prayer journal, and preferences
• AI model service: generates prayer text from your selected mood (only when you use "Pray with Me")
• Bible content service: provides scripture reading, chapter navigation, and your account's highlights and notes
• Image library service: provides public-domain prayer wallpapers (collects no information about you)

All providers have signed data processing agreements (DPAs) compliant with GDPR. To request the specific provider list, email us.

Data Storage Location

• The primary database is hosted in European data centers
• Some services (such as AI models) may be located in the United States, protected by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs)
• We will not actively transfer your data outside the regions above

Data Retention

• Your data is retained for as long as your account exists
• After account deletion, all personal data is removed from the primary database within 30 days
• Necessary compliance backups are fully cleared within 90 days

Your Rights

Wherever you are, you have the following rights:

• Access: request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Export: one-tap export from "Me → Export My Prayer Journal"
• Correction: request correction of inaccurate information
• Deletion: request deletion of your account and all data (in-app: Me → Delete Account)
• Withdraw consent: disable AI features or sign out at any time

UK / EU users: you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (e.g., the UK ICO at ico.org.uk).

Children's Privacy

Manna is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we discover such information has been collected, we will delete it immediately. Parents who discover their child has provided information without consent should contact lightdao@pm.me.

Policy Changes

If material changes are made to this policy, we will notify you in advance via in-app notification or email. Continued use indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
